Owwww
I've had swollen lymph nodes for months now... I am so used to waking up congested in the morning. Underneath my jaw the lymph node seems to be tender after that fateful trip to the dentist. Frequently the lymph nodes in the armpit will also swell. Normally it will just be one side and goes away after a few weeks... Not this time. I first noticed it about 6 months ago... and after they told me the white blood cell count was low then I just shrugged it off... Then they said that was only slightly low and were not concerned about it. But the lymph nodes on both sides are still swollen and are not getting any better. I'm not sure if it's related to walking home and carrying the MacBook Pro... possibly pulling on my arm... but now I can't raise my left arm without pain. If I press on one of the lymph nodes it causes pain... I would just go to the doctor except that he is in Pickering. If it's still as painful tomorrow and I have limited mobility then I just might be making a new trip to the ER. It's obviously not going away on it's own and is now getting worse. The congestion... swollen lymph nodes... and fatigue may even be related. But if I just continue suffering in the hopes it will get better I'll never know.

Wrong Side of the Bed
I definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I was hitting the snooze button in my sleep. Fortunately, I wasn't running late when I did get up. Finished getting ready and headed out the door. Dropped my sunglasses on the way out and one of the lenses popped out. I've only had them for about 3 weeks now. There was no way I could put the lens back in. So that was how I started my day. Got to work and my call time was pretty high. It was frustrating. Start listening to calls... and don't even end up taking my lunch or my last break. Then it was off to the chiropractor after work. I love seeing Charlene but I was there for about 45 minutes. My appointment was probably about 10 minutes, at most. Then I had to walk home. I stopped by Shopper's Drug Mart to check out their collection of sunglasses. None of them looked right on me. So by the time I got home I had a nice headache from the sunlight. I love having a backpack. It does make it much easier to carry the MacBook with me. But now both my shoulders hurt equally and they both look like I have a sunburn. So I was home long enough to drop off my backpack and dinner and then walked to Zellers. Picked up sunglasses and then walked home again. So by now my legs are pretty sore... what can I say... I'm lazy. And we're talking about 5.5 kilometres. Have dinner and jump in the shower. Having some trouble with swollen lymph nodes (shouldn't my white blood cell count be high to combat that... not low?) and managed to nick myself shaving. I got out of the shower... got dressed and Steve shows up. Doesn't even bother to call first... just shows up. That bothers me. But at least it was a short visit. I really didn't say much though and didn't invite him to stick around. He just picked up the computer and left. And that about takes me to right now... since he just left about 10 minutes ago. Now I'm really looking forward to going to bed.

Still Sick
Doing a little better but still sick. I've spent much of the last three days in bed, or asleep on the futon. Guess I've now broken that in. The lymph nodes in my neck seem to be swollen which is causing pain in my jaw. The congestion has gone down quite a bit, along with the sore throat. So that is good.... Now if I could just get rid of the sinus pressure I'd be doing okay. Well and gained back some of the weight that I lost. I seem to have trouble gaining weight but no trouble losing it. Mind you not being able to eat much... and then having trouble keeping it down might have something to do with that.
I did have a scary experience yesterday. I woke up since dinner was not agreeing with me. I got out of bed to go to the bathroom and suddenly felt dizzy. I was disoriented and lightheaded. On my way back to bed I went to turn out the lights in the living room. I was still dizzy and then suddenly lost my vision. I couldn't see anything. I remember kicking the water dish and not being able to find the lights. The next thing I remember is hitting my head off something... which turned out to be the toilet on one side and the cabinet on the other. After a few minutes I got up and did turn the lights out. When I woke up again a few hours later I still felt a little dizzy but it wasn't nearly as bad. What freaked me out is that I don't black out. I remember one time in university where my blood pressure just dropped. I was sitting in class and lost my vision. Then my hearing all seemed like it was a windtunnel. But I didn't black out, which surprised the doctor. After a few minutes my senses returned and I was fine. I know I am hypoglycemic, sick and not eating enough... which is a recipe for disaster but even when I had the flu and lost a lot more weight I never blacked out... or had dizzy spells like that one. No dizziness today at least. Hopefully in a couple of days I will be back to normal... as normal as I ever am any ways.
